Easter Sunday

P is a super humongous big fat fan of eggs. Good if they are fried, better if they are chocolate coated and best if they contain toys. This was mostly driven by the YouTube videos she watches - the unwrapping of Kinder surprises. No presents for guessing what she chooses when we walk past candy aisles.

Easter Sunday, what better time than to do an egg hunt? I found some of the toys she unwrapped from Kinder surprises, bought some candy, stickers and small cutie chicks and filled the plastic egg shells with the goodies.
At 2.5 years old, I was also contemplating whether she gets the idea of an egg hunt. If I hid the eggs around the house, how can I give her clues to the locations, and would it be me pointing out the location and asking her to search there?

In the end, what I did was to set the eggs at their "hidden" locations, take a photo of it as clue to show her. She was surprisingly adept at recognising the locations, and we finished the hunt within 5 min.
It was great fun while it lasted, and she enjoyed cracking the eggs to see what they contain. For the rest of the day, she constantly badger me about having another egg hunt (she calls it egg plant, haha) and is still mentioning even today.

Hee, it doesn't really take much effort to bring a smile to her face! The hard part is really to reject her repeated requests for the hunt, haha!
