Silence is (not so) golden

I laughed out loud when I saw this pic.

So so true for P! If she's out of sight and very quiet, there's a storm brewing in the background. The worse that has ever happened is when she was approximately 6 months old. Hubby and I were busying preparing ourselves for an outing, and left her in her walker to roam around the house. She has become quite adept on the walker, so we went about doing our own things. It took me about 10 minutes to realise that the house was... too quiet. I went in search of her and found her in the kitchen. To my horror and disgust, she has her hands in the dustbin and is eating the pasta that we had thrown away because she couldn't finish it for brunch, omg! Luckily, no side effects from her choice of food, and a lesson for the amateur parents: Silence is VERY suspicious if you have a toddler.

P is smart. She has this tendency to do banned activities after ensuring our eyes are not on her. This includes
  1. Putting foreign objects in the mouth (cards, magazines, books, letters, pamphlets, brochures, remote controls, you name it)
  2. Destroying Tearing down my alphabet posters from her bedroom wall
  3. Twiddling with the buttons on the fan (swing/stop, off/on, ion/no ion). This has recently upgraded to trying to put her hands into the fan and risk getting her fingers cut off. Yeah, time to get the fan netting.
The best part - Once you caught her doing the deed, she will go on fast forwarded mode and do it faster, as if knowing the good times will end once you approach her and take away the object of desire. Haha, what am I to do with this naughty girl?

Picture taken after getting reprimanded for pulling wires from behind the TV. She 'ran away' after the deed and stuck out her tongue at us.
